How to Use PGP — Quick Guide
PGP (Pretty Good Privacy) is non-negotiable on Black Ops. It's how we verify identities, encrypt messages, and prevent phishing. If you're not using it, you're doing this wrong. Here's the basics:
1. Get a PGP Client
We recommend GPG4USB — it's lightweight, portable, works on Windows/Linux, and doesn't need installation. Download it from gpg4usb.org. On Whonix or Tails, GNU Privacy Guard comes pre-installed.
2. Import Our Key
Copy the PGP block above (use the Copy button). Open your PGP client, import the key, and verify the fingerprint matches what's shown on this page. If the fingerprint doesn't match, you're on a phishing site.
3. Verify Signed Messages
When we publish mirror lists or announcements, they're signed with this key. Paste the signed message into your PGP client and verify the signature. If it doesn't verify against this key, the message is fake — regardless of where you found it.
4. Encrypt Messages to Us
When contacting support or sending sensitive info, encrypt your message with our public key. Only we can decrypt it. This is especially important for account recovery requests and dispute evidence.
Setting Up 2FA on Black Ops
| Step | Action |
|---|---|
| 1 | Hover username → Settings |
| 2 | Click 2FA Authentication → Enable |
| 3 | Decrypt the pop-up message with your PGP key |
| 4 | Paste auth code back into the field → Save |
After this, every login requires PGP decryption. It takes 20 seconds and could save your entire account balance. Do it.
